Emma and Ben’s Mill Race Park Engagement Session
Emma wanted a location that was fun, meaningful, and a little different for her engagement photos with Ben. After some back-and-forth, she fell in love with the idea of having their engagement session in downtown Galt in Cambridge, Ontario.
We began their shoot along the Grand River behind Mill Race Park, wandered through the park’s historic stone ruins and tree-lined paths, and then walked into downtown Galt for the second half of their session.
Downtown Galt is one of my favourite places for engagement photos — it offers such a great mix of old architecture, riverside views, and charming local spots. We hit up some of my go-to photo locations like vintage storefronts, side streets, and cozy alleyways, which gave their session a lot of variety and personality.
We wrapped up the evening during blue hour, one of my favourite times of day to shoot. The soft, moody light added such a romantic vibe to their final photos — it was the perfect way to end the session.
