Spring Daffodil Photo Sessions in Perth County

Each spring, for a short and beautiful window of time, the forest floor in Margaret’s Garden fills with thousands of blooming daffodils.
This hidden woodland spot is located in Perth County, just a short drive from Stratford, St. Marys, and Exeter.
The garden was planted many years ago by my partner’s grandmother, Margaret. What began as a simple act of planting flowers has grown into a beautiful spring tradition. Every year the daffodils return, creating a golden woodland that feels quiet, peaceful, and full of light.
Because the location is on private property, sessions here feel relaxed and natural — far from busy parks or crowded public gardens.
It’s one of my favourite places to photograph spring family sessions, engagement photos, and even pet portraits.

Spring Daffodil Sessions are limited each year. Join the pre-booking list to get first access when booking opens.

A Truly Unique Spring Photo Location

Unlike many spring flower sessions that take place in busy public parks, Margaret’s Garden is a private forest location. The daffodils grow naturally among the trees, creating a soft golden carpet of flowers and beautiful filtered sunlight.
The setting feels quiet, natural, and intimate — perfect for capturing genuine moments.

Perfect for Many Types of Sessions

Spring daffodil sessions work beautifully for a variety of portraits, including:
Engagement Sessions
The soft spring colours and romantic woodland setting make Margaret’s Garden a beautiful place to capture engagement photos.
Family Sessions
Kids love exploring the little forest paths and the bright flowers create cheerful, natural portraits.
Pet Sessions
Dogs especially enjoy the space to explore, and the daffodils create a stunning backdrop for pet portraits.

A Short and Special Season

Daffodils bloom for only a brief window each spring, typically lasting about two weeks depending on the weather.
Because the bloom is short and the sessions are limited, I offer a small number of spring sessions each year to make sure every family has a relaxed experience and the flowers are protected.

What to Wear for Daffodil Sessions

Soft spring colours photograph beautifully in Margaret’s Garden. Some favourites include:
  • Creams and soft whites
  • Light blues
  • Sage green
  • Soft neutrals
Avoid bright neon colours or busy patterns so the flowers and natural setting remain the focus.

Join the Spring Daffodil Session Pre-Booking List

Margaret’s Garden only blooms for a short window each spring, and the exact timing depends entirely on the weather. Some years the daffodils arrive early, and other years they take a little longer to appear.
Because of this, I don’t release session dates until the flowers are close to blooming.
If you’d like the chance to book a session in Margaret’s Garden, you can join the Spring Daffodil Pre-Booking List below.
Everyone on the list will receive an email as soon as the bloom begins, along with early access to the booking calendar before sessions are released publicly.
These sessions are limited each year to protect the flowers and keep the experience relaxed for everyone.
