Emma & Ben’s Camp Kintail Wedding
A full-weekend celebration in Goderich, Ontario

Emma and Ben’s wedding at Camp Kintail in Goderich, Ontario was a relaxed, intentional, and deeply joyful celebration set along the shores of Lake Huron in Huron County. By booking the entire campground for the weekend, they created a space where friends and family could slow down, spend real time together, and fully settle into the experience.
Their ceremony took place in the forest, surrounded by tall trees and flooded with bright summer sunlight. The setting felt natural, open, and peaceful, a perfect backdrop for vows filled with laughter, emotion, and connection.
Earlier in the day, one of those very real wedding moments unfolded: their wedding bands were accidentally dropped into a deck and couldn’t be found before the ceremony. Without hesitation, Emma and Ben borrowed rings and moved forward, smiling the entire time. It didn’t dampen the joy of the moment in the slightest. Instead, it became a reminder that unexpected things happen on wedding days (and life), and that those moments often become part of what makes the day uniquely yours. Later on, Camp Kintail’s staff were able to pull the deck apart and reunite Emma and Ben with their rings.
As the afternoon eased into evening, we slipped away to the beach at sunset with just Emma and Ben. With Lake Huron stretching out in front of them and the sun dipping low over the water, they took a few quiet moments to relax and simply be together. At one point, they found a soccer ball and started kicking it around, laughing and playing, a perfect reflection of who they are, especially since they play on a soccer team together.
The reception space was filled with creativity and colour. For dinner, the hall was decorated with paper mâché doves suspended from the ceiling, adding movement and a sense of playfulness overhead. Emma also designed human-sized 3D flowers for the photo booth, perfectly matched to her florals and quickly becoming a favourite spot for guests throughout the night.
As darkness fell, Camp Kintail truly came alive. The campground’s paths lined with white string lights created a dreamy atmosphere for twilight photos. And to end the night, Emma and Ben treated their guests to fireworks, lighting up the sky over the campground, a breathtaking finale to a weekend filled with joy, creativity, and connection.
Emma and Ben’s Camp Kintail wedding was proof that when you embrace the day as it unfolds, and it's unexpected moments, you end up with something beautifully, unmistakably your own.
